Robin is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us four colors to combine into our project: Daffodil Delight, Berry Burst, Pool Party and Old Olive. The dessert option is "Sparkle." Always a fun addition to any card!
This card is for our daughter's birthday, this Friday. They are very eco-friendly, driving only electric cars. Their blue car is decorated with white polar bear silhouettes, so this stamp set seemed perfect for the occasion.
The outside is very plain, just a black belly band, white embossed with a greeting, and an ice skating polar bear. You can see it here. The inside is the WOW! (I hope!). I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Pop-Up die to create the 3-D effect. The sky is Pool Party, white embossing paste through a stencil, and Iridescent Ice to make the snowflakes sparkle. The bears were colored with Copic markers, using a touch of W00 and W1 to give their bodies some shading.
Stay tuned--I need to make birthday cards for two grandchildren, and I'm using this set and this week's colors. Just need to get crackin' on them. One is ready to go, and the other will be along shortly.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!
